ON THE SUMMER STAGE: NORMAL DEBIL
Description
The Diary of a Teenager aka My Childhood in Socialism
The theater play Normal Debil is based on the book of the same name by Robert Bellan. It is a retro comedy with tales from the author's childhood spent in socialist Czechoslovakia as the narrative foundation. During an evening full of humor, exaggeration, and nostalgia, we find ourselves with the main character - the well-known troublemaker Norbert Intribus - in a socialist household, at school, on a football field, by the weir, in a hospital, or even at a surprisingly graveyard sexual party. An integral part of the production is the period 'Pop music,' broadcasts of Czechoslovak Television, and an expert view on psychological vulcanism.
