ON THE SUMMER STAGE: CAVEMAN
Description
Defense of the Caveman
Caveman is not only a defense of the caveman but also a defense of intelligent humor. Something we haven't seen here for a long time!
The "Defense of the Caveman", written and performed by Rob Becker, offers humorous musings on the differences between men and women and how these differences often lead to misunderstandings. This one-man show fills theaters to the last seat in the USA and Canada.
"Defense of the Caveman" was first performed on Broadway at the Helen Hayes Theatre on March 26, 1995, and after its 399th performance on July 17, 1996, it was entered into the theatrical chronicles, having surpassed the plays "Search For Intelligent Life in the Universe" by Lily Tomlin and "The World According to Me" by Jackie Mason. At that time, "Defense of the Caveman" became the longest-running one-man show in Broadway history.
